Well life is in full swing around the Shelley house. I have been so tired come Sunday evenings that I have just relaxed and enjoyed my couch. Jaidon is loving baseball and is pitching a little bit. He is doing great and is working hard on becoming more accurate. Chad is helping coach, so I miss alot of what is going on chasing after Bres and Daxon. He has also started taking tap and hip hop classes at the dance studio. He is loving it and has made a couple good friends. He does make it clear that baseball is the most important and dance is just to pass time.
      Chase is playing soccer and really starting to understand what is going on. During his first game he told me I need to get a piece of paper and write his name on it and put down how many goals he gets each game every time for the rest of his life! We are currently at game 1-2 goals, game 2- 2goals. I better keep track or I will be in big trouble! He is adjusting to school pretty well, but is still way tired. Being so tired causes the issue of being grumpy and not talking so nice. We are really working on that one! Chase has also started taking a "Just for Boys" dance class and loves it. He gets to tap and what ever else the teacher needs to do to keep thier attention! It is fun to see a class of all boys 5-8 years old learning to dance:) (We are lucky that our studio has a family plan. Which means that after a family has enrolled in 7 classes all others are free. Miki takes care of the 7 so the boys get to try it out for free. We like free!)
      Miki is as busy as ever. She is doing great and loving life. This girl loves her dance! She is taking a ton of classes and LOVES each one of them. She auditioned for the Nutcracker yesterday. It was a long day of dancing. I dropped her off at the studio at 9:30 am and did not pick her up till 5:45. She then had a rehearsal today from 2:30 to 7, whew. She was in bed early tonight! She has been cast as a mouse and a angel. It is a neat experience for her because it is with a professional company out of California and they use locals for the "extras" So she gets to work with some AMAZING dancers. She also started having private percussion lessons through school this week. They sure love her and think she is very talented. I had fun listening to her teacher be amazed at her knowledge and skill level. I think she is pretty dang amazing too, but not just for her musical abilities:)

      Breslynn and Daxon are just as silly as ever. I am having a lot of fun with them during the day. I love watching them play together and imagine. Two year olds are so much fun! I think back to my big kids and I have always loved this stage. Daxon is truly all boy and is a disaster waiting to happen. If this boy can make a mess he is all over it. Bres is a girl after my heart, she absolutely LOVES shoes! She is such a little mommy and loves to look pretty.
      Chad and I are just trying to keep sane in all the madness. He was called the Bishopric a few weeks ago so we are all adjusting to the new things that brings with it. Fun for us! No seriously, I have been thinking alot lately how truly blessed we are and how lucky I am to have my family. I wouldn't change the craziness for anything. I am exhausted a lot but it is all worth it. There is a update..........

Jaidon turns 9!

Jaidon turned 9 this month! I just love this kid. He LOVES baseball, driving Mom nuts, spending time with Dad, ice cream, steaks, shrimp, bugging his big (bossy) sister, cuddling with Mom :), naughty words, hunting, being outside, GIRLS (hot ones), and being an awesome kid. He is so fun to be around. I love his laugh and am so glad that he hasn't out grown it. I am so lucky to be his mom.

The Storm

Well here is why it was back to school-sort of. We had a crazy storm last night that did some real damage around town. It knocked out power for a lot of people. Amber is still without power tonight. We are lucky that ours only flickered. School was canceled due to no power. Nothing like having school canceled on the 2nd day! Next week is going to be a long hard week for them. Poor Chase will have the hardest time. All day kindergarten and a bus that picks them up at 7:08 makes for a long day.
Here is our damage form the storm:( I loved this tree. It was weakened in a storm last year and we lost part of it. This time not much survived. Chad and the boys are having fun using the chainsaw on a positive note. I just wish it would of taken out the tree next to it, I don't like that one. No such luck.
Last night before the storm Jaidon had a practice game for baseball. They had him PITCH! What! I think they are trying to give me a heartattack! I guess he is pretty accurate and with a little practice could be a pretty good pitcher. Chad is helping coach this season so I better make sure he knows that I may not be able to handle it! I don't think he really cares.:)
As I write this there is thunder and lighting going on outside....hope it is not like last night!

Back to School-sort of

Another school year has begun. I can not believe that my Chase is in kindergarten!!!! He is ready to be in school but I will sure miss our time together during the day. I love that boy! We found out last Thursday who Chase has, Mrs McNorton. We are very excited for him. He is way excited because his friend Will is in his class. Will and Chase had preschool together last year and have become best buddies. On Tuesday we were able to find out who Miki and Jaidon have. Miki has Mrs. Walker. She is happy because "Micheal"(insert big sigh here) is in her class, but sad that her other friends Reagan and Shelby are not. Miki is so positive and will love it just because it is school. Jaidon has Mrs. Green, I don't know who was more bummed, him or mom & dad. We really wanted him to get Mrs Turner, Miki had her and we loved her. To add salt to our wounds his to best buddies Creed and Jack are in her class:( Oh well! Jaidon will do great and came home from school raving about his teacher. He will do great! They only had a half day and it was wierd just having Bres and Dax at home. I didn't have Koen until 1:30 so I really got a taste of just us three at home. I am sad summer is over but greatful to get back on a routine. I am horrible of keeping one in the summer. I am so lucky that they love school and really look forward to it starting again. I think Miki starts counting down the days till it starts again the first day of vacation!

I am so proud of Mikinzie and Jaidon. They did AWESOME! It was so much fun to watch them. Mikinzie is hooked! She wants to be on stage all the time, we already knew that but she made sure we still were aware that it hadn't changed. Jaidon did a great job and was an fabolus Grandpa Jack. He was put it at the last min. and did great. Everyone that they worked with said how much they loved them. It never gets old hearing how great your kids are!:) I think all the staff wanted to take Jaidon home! I did explain that he is always better for everyone but me, but hey at least he behaves for others! LOL

Well things have been busy as usual. I have been so wiped out come Sunday the last few weeks I have slacked on my blogging. We have been doing alot of play practice and dance. Jaidon decided to make life even crazier by doing a baseball and football camp in the evenings. So basically I have spent most of my time being a taxi driver:) We did head down to the Peterson's last Saturday and had a blast hanging with our friends. We even broke out the scrapbooks to see the picks from all those years ago when we were at Carolynn's birthday party. It was so fun to see our "big" kids not so BIG. We are so lucky to have such great friends!On Tuesday Miki decided that Bres was ready to be done with her binky. I was sitting on the couch and I could hear them talking. They inform me that they are mailing her binkies to Cinderella. Bres was all excited and they took them out to the mail box. I then see Miki discretely putting them in the trash. Waooooo wait a sec. get those out and hide them unless you want to sit up with her in the middle of the night was my response. I know I am a big wuss when it comes to things like this. Well she did great and no more binkies at our house:)

Sari is here!

We are so lucky to have Sari come stay for a few weeks this summer. She came in town on Tuesday. We are loving having her here and this time we get to spend with her, she is such a sweet heart! In other VERY exciting news......we have a Ooompa Loompa and Veruca in our house! We are so excited to see them preform Willy Wonka the end of the month. Miki is way happy because she will have a solo and gets to speak with a British accent:)They are both loving the time that they are in class learning the play which awesome since they have to get up and go by 8am in the SUMMER! We have also got to watch Jaidon play in the All-Star tournament. Is team ended up taking third place. They did really well. It was sooo stinking hot though, heat index of 111 degrees! YUCKY! We were all so nasty sweaty and we weren't even doing anything!
Daxon LOVES to play ball and will run the bases like a champ. It is soooo funny! Baseball is done for now. This is a good thing so I can get caught up on all my laundry and house work(which for the moment I am blaming on baseball, I don't think that I will ever get caught up till everyone moves out!)

4th of July

We had a great 4th! We went to our ward barbque to start the day off and enjoyed good company. We then went and bought a small arsenal to set off that night. To help the kids not drive us crazy waiting for it to get dark I took the 3 older ones to see Cars 2. It was a cute movie and they really seemed to enjoy it. We had a great time setting of fireworks and enjoying the neighbors as well. Poor Breslynn didn't like them at first, then Amber and Koen came and she started to have fun:)

A week of Baseball

Well another fun and exciting week has come and gone. Jaidon was able to try out for the All Star Team for baseball to start the week off. He did really well and we found out that he made a Team!!! Way to go! He will play in an All Star tournament next weekend which should be really fun to watch. I took Bres and Dax to the tryouts with me and they crashed:) It was rather nice. It was sooo stinking HOT and humid, but that is what I get for living in Missouri.

Along with tryouts Jaidon had 3 games and Chase had 2 t-ball games. Thankfully none of them were at the same time. They both played really well. Chase had his games cut short because of the extreme heat....see I wasn't kidding about it being HOT! Then we were off to Jaidons. He is such a good ball player and has loves playing first base. This is a picture of how we kept the twins entertained at the games.... CANDY! Yeah Mom wasn't so thrilled, but it worked. LOL! Look at those blue eyes, oh yeah the matching tongue too!

Dance started up this week. Miki and I get to take a strength and stretch class together. I love that I get to spend some time with just her. She is growing up way to fast! I got my butt kicked and she didn't think it was hard. Go figure. I explained to her that my big butt hadn't been dancing hours and hours a day for along time and she just looked at me funny. I am starting to get used to those looks. I have to brag for a split sec. about myself. Ms. Marla is our teacher, she owns the studio, and she told me I have great turn out! LOL! Once again it doesn't take much to please me but I was so happy to receive that complement. Those of you who have danced understand my excitement over this. Chad just laughed at me. Jaidon is taking a hip hop class too! He is so funny! He loved it and his "girl friend" (more to come about her) is in the class. So the Mom taxi is driving up there 4 days a week for the next 5 weeks. We are still waiting to hear if Miki made the comp team again.

The above picture is my silly kids. Man do I love how they play together and have so much fun imagining. Apparently they are ninjas. I was cracking up so hard at them and their outfits. I asked Miki why she was in all pink and she said "cause I couldn't find all black and it has to be all the same color" Oh OK that makes sense. LOL!
Jaidon got glasses/contacts. He wasn't to sure he would like glasses but secretly I think he loves them. In all the craziness we were able to pick them up before his last game on Thursday. Umm yeah they helped. He hit a home run and hit each time up on the 2 or 3rd pitch. He was a good little hitter before but now it will be fun to see how well he does. Feeling kind of bad that I drug my feet getting this taken care of. I was waiting to see if the school nurse did an end of the year screening and then I just never made the appointment. Oh well taken care of now.

Ok so more on this "girl friend" Jaidon was invited to go to dinner and a movie with her fam. Apparently she spent her own money and bought a dress for this "date" I am all for them being friends, but I think the Dad is in love with my son! LOL Not in a creepy way, he just really thinks Jaidon is a riot. I can't blame him we think he is pretty dang awesome too, but I find it a little funny that this dad is so thrilled that my son likes his daughter. I know Chad would feel a little different about things if the tables were turned and it was Miki. Look at how suave he is! I told him I wanted a picture and he just put his arm around her! I think we are in trouble. He told his sister that he would be smooching on Friday night after we got the call. WHAT! How old are you! What a nut! Let me clarify that there was no smooching on Friday night for him thank goodness!

We were also able to go swimming with Amber and Koen on Thursday. We had a lot of fun. Amber brought her camera so I will have to steal some of the pics from her. Can I just say how much I love having them out here. I get to love on Koen all most every day and she my sister too! Doesn't get much better than that. We had fun coloring each others hair on Tuesday night. We are pros! I love her:)

Ok so that is the main high lights from the week. Man life is crazy....love it though!

Go T-Bones!

Chads office got everyone tickets to a baseball game on Friday night. We had fun and the kids got to eat tons of sugar. Chad, Mikinzie, Chase, Breslynn and Daxon headed down and where able to meet Sizzle "the tow(cow) as Breslynn calls him. There are no pictures of this because I was watching Jaidon play ball and his team won 25-11. Way to go boys! Jaidon and I then left headed down after his game and made it there about the 3rd inning, so we still got to watch a lot of ball.

This week was busy! We had a lot going on, ok I was able to do a lot of fun things:) We started the week off by heading to the orthodontist for Miki. She no longer has a mouth full of plastic!! She is happy about the new appliance because there is more room in her mouth and we don't get after her to close her mouth all the time now when she eats. Miki is also excited that she can talk normal too! (I snapped this pic real quick....man she is beautiful!!!!)

Miki also had auditions for the dance team at her studio on Tuesday. We are crossing our fingers and hoping that she makes it again. It has been said that they are taking fewer this year and changing things up a little. She feels really good about her audition so no matter what we know she did her best!
Wednesday night Chad and I got a REAL date night! We didn't even go to the movies. Crazy huh! Our friend had a birthday and she likes to go to World's of Fun in Kansas City. We had so much fun riding all the rides and could not of asked for better weather. Some how we ended up doing a ride called Rip Cord. They take you up 180 feet and let you free fall. I have no idea why I didn't stop and think for 2 seconds and realize that I would be CRAZY to do this. I lived. I had fun. Don't need to do it again, for awhile:)

Thursday night I got to go down to Star Light Theatre and see 9 to 5. Chad gave me season tickets for the Broadway plays. I must say I am rather enjoying them. It was a fun play, I had good company, and I am looking forward to going again in 2 weeks for Guys and Dolls. I think I am hooked! It is nice to know that I have a night out every 2 weeks this summer. They really have good shows this season.
I had to be a mean mom and set down some solid rules with consequences this week. It is not that there hasn't been rules, but something had to change for my sanity. I am a big meany and only give 1 warning before they get to choose a job from the jar. I have got walls, windows, and mirrors washed. The car has been cleaned and the floors swept and mopped to name a few things. I am liking the extra jobs, kids not so much. It seems to really have helped and I am thinking it won't be long before the jobs become fewer and fewer. We haven't made it past the job on the list so something must be working. I am blessed to have good kids that really don't cause to much trouble.

Yeah!!! I have been trying to sign into our blog for awhile and as you can tell from the lack of posts I have not been able to. For some reason I was able to today.WOOHOO! I must admit I have gotten very lazy and post most of my pic's to face book, I can do that right from my phone. I am going to try, fingers crossed, to post every Sunday what has been going on in our lives. This is my way of trying to keep track of all the memories that otherwise would be forgotten. Come on lets face it I have just about the worst memory in the world. I hope that my kids don't catch on or I am in BIG trouble when they get older! So this will be my way of putting it all down for myself, since my lack of posting I am sure no one checks our blog anymore:)

This past week was a some what quite week for our family. Thank goodness! We finished Mikinzi's dance recital on Sunday and are very proud of what a beautiful dancer she is becoming. You can really tell that see LOVES it. Mom is of course thrilled that see does and totally enjoys the hours she gets to spend watching dance during recital weekend :)

We were able to enjoy Jaidon play 3 games this week. He sure is loving baseball and is doing really well. He is playing first base and sometimes 3rd. Dad made a deal with him that if he gets to third or home off his hit he gets a half gallon of ice cream. Well needless to say we are enjoying some yummy ice cream at our house in a variety of flavors!

The most shocking happening of the week, no of her 11 years on this earth......Mikinzie got her ears pierced!!!!!! Dad once again made a deal, this time it was with Miki. The deal was if she got her ears pierced he would make sure she got the nasal spray for her flu shot. So her willingness to do this shows how BAD she hates, if that word is strong enough,shots. Breslynn got her "ear pretties" a few weeks before because she really wanted them. No tears. She loves them and wanted them really, really bad:)Well seeing little sis was not enough and talking to her numerous friends on many different occasions was not enough proof that it wasn't horribly painful. I had to show her many clips on you tube of little ones getting them pierced. All that and she survived and loves them. Funny thing is that Miki has always played/rubbed ears when she is tired, upset, or bored:) Well now she can't rub her ears so she sits and spins her earrings. She is such a nut!

So that was a quite week. This next week is back to craziness, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Well life around here is crazy!!! I know, I know what should I expect with five kids, three dogs (no that is not a typo. We now have THREE dogs) and callings that keep us very busy. We are all doing well and instead of doing the laundry, cleaning the kitchen, and cleaning up the fish food in the entry (no clue how it got there in the middle of the night) I am sitting on the couch updating my blog.
We started the summer by adding Cooper to the family. You ask why in the world would we want/need another dog?! I agree, but he is so cute:) Chad found him online here in town and convinced me to go look at him. Well....long story short Breslynn fell in LOVE, kids promised to help train him, and I am the BIGGEST sucker of them all. He is a great little dog and won't get much over 7lbs.

We have been very busy with baseball. Jaidon had so much fun playing and they did really well. This means we had lots of games. Overall they took 2nd in the city wide tournament. He played a couple of double headers to end up in the championship game which he thought was awsome. Mom had a blast, but was exhausted after chasing two 15 months around. I didn't get a good pic with his team. My camera was acting funny and Breslynn was jumping out of my arms while I tried to take it.

Another exciting thing that has happened around here is Miki auditioned for the dance team at the studio where she dances and she MADE it! She is super excited and can't wait to start. I think she will be spending lots of time at the studio this next year. It is a good thing we LOVE them :)
We have been swimming alot too. There is a great pool about 30min from our house that some of our friends from church go to and they talked me into joining also. It was really tuff since I hate sitting at the pool all day! (LOL) Breslynn and Daxon love it and my friends are so amazing helping me out while we are there. I couldn't do it with out them. It is well worth the drive. These pictures are from our pool in the back yard. I think this is the best purchase we have ever made! It is not deep enough that I worry about them in it, but deep enough for them to have fun. I am thinking that someday we will need to get a inground pool of our own.......

We have made it out on the boat once so far this summer. I think we have a curse on us. We have planned on going a few times and it ends up raining, not supposed to but it does. We can't wait to get out and try our new tube!

Well in the middle of all this we have had the house painted, Chad has gone on a river trip, dance recital, company in town, Chad at youth conference, and all the normal day to day running every where! I love summer time, but think I will be ready for school to start in a month......now to get everyone ready for that!

Cruise

I am finally posting about our cruise. We had such a great time and would leave today to go again if we could (except maybe bring the kids this time)It was a much need break from the craziness. I didn't change a diaper for 7 whole days!!! It was hard to leave the kids but I knew that they were in great hands. My parents were kind enough to come and stay while we took off. It was hard the first few days, I kept thinking "I don't know if I can does this" and as the end grew closer I kept thinking "another day or two wouldn't be so bad." We went to Half Moon Cay Bahamas, St Thomas, San Juan Port de Rico, and Grand Turk. All were AMAZING, all were Beatiful, and all were uniqie. We had fun parasailing with the family. There were so many, 11 to be exact, of us that they wouldn't let us all go on the same boat. We were a little bummed but still had a blast. It was so funny when I was up I could hear JD, my brother in-law, acrossed the ocean laughing and screaming. Too funny! We did alot of shopping and Chad spoiled me as usual. In San Juan we went to the rainforest and it was so beautiful. We were able to go on a nice hike and just enjoy the surroundings. Chad and I went power snorklieng in Grand Turk. We held on to these machines that had big fans that would take you around the coral reef. It was like being in a James Bond movie. It was my first time snorkeling and I had to convince myself not to have a panic attack and that I could still breath with my face in the water. I loved it though! We were able to see a 7,000 foot drop off, kind freaked me out. When we weren't out eenjoying the islands we were having a blast on the boat, eating great food, and just relaxing! I feel truley blessed that I have such wonderful family. For those who don't know we went on the trip to celebrate Chads parents 40th aniversary. All 7 kids where able to go, which is a party in itself! I realized that I didn't take as many pictures as I thought and am sad that I didn't capture everything. Guess that means I will have to go back!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! We had a great day spending time as a family. I love it when conference falls on Easter Sunday. The kids had fun going through their Easter baskets. The best part is that the Easter bunny brought Chase a blanket like Mom and Dads so now Chase can sleep in his bed. ( It worked last night! I hope it continues too!) The Easter bunny also brought the kids some much need summer clothes. And as usual they got spoiled by there Grandmas:) We then had a fun day of watching conference and spending time together outside. I get the "Best Mom Ever" award because when we went for our walk the babies got sunburned:( I feel horrible! Daxon got the worst of it. We were only out there for 20 min or so. Opps! guess I need to make sure we are lathered up no matter what. We barbecued Elk steaks for dinner. ALL my boys loved it. Miki actually likes it too! I love the time we get to spend all together! I am sure we looked like a parade on our walk....Me pushing the double stroller, Chad walking the dogs, Chase on his scooter, Miki on her electric scooter, and Jaidon on his 4 wheeler. I guess it was more of a walk for Mom and Dad and ride for the kids.

I can't believe that my Chase is 4!!!! He is such a funny boy and makes me laugh every single day several times. You never know what story he is going to tell you. He makes messes faster then I can keep up! He is such a loving boy and always gives me big hugs and kisses, which I couldn't live without. This is the boy who, just yesterday, I had to explain that we can not stand on the bathroom sink and aim for the toilet when going to the bathroom. His response was "Yes I can. I can make it." He can do anything, just ask him :) I love that he LOVES his hair and won't let his dad cut it. I love that he sneaks into the bottom of my bed and sleeps, so I don't even know he is there. Apparently our covers are more comfy and we should trade him beds. He is so excited to be 4 and come October be going on the elk hunt with big brother and Dad. Chase hardly has clothes on and would prefer to be in his underpants. We have made progress and now we wear jammies 50% of the time. I love that when we get out of the car on Sundays he runs in the house yelling "Comfy Clothes Time." We are so lucky to have him in our family! Happy Birthday Bubba!!!

Ok so it has been awhile since I have been able to post. I having thinking about doing this just about every day and some how it doesn't get done. I then realized that I could save it as a draft if I don't have time all at once to finish. How cool is that! I know that I am a little slow, but I am blaming it on having 5 children! So life is crazy as ever but that is just the way things are around the Shelley house. We were able to go home for Christmas. It was so fun to see everyone and hang out. Breslynn and Daxon both decided to get teeth while we were there so that made things fun. One of the main reasons we went out was because my sister had her baby. Koen was born a little early so we weren't able to be there the day he was born. I don't think my sister wanted to wait for me. I am pretty sure she was glad to not be pregnant and hold that beautiful boy! We were sure glad to meet him! I now understand how mean I have been for not living close to family. I miss that baby boy sooooo much! I am trying to get her to move out here. We will see if I work my magic:) We informed everyone that we will NOT be coming out next year:( It is Chad's turn to take call. He has been really lucky that his Partners have been really understanding. So everyone is welcome to come to Missouri!!!!
We have had a yucky winter so far. We are hoping that it is done but not holding our breath. When we got back from Utah the kids had 1 full day of school on Tuesday and then on Wednesday they let out early due to the EXTREME cold. It was so cold the rest of the week that school was closed. It was so cold, -20 or less with the wind chill that they were worried about the buses running! Crazy!

Miki turned 10 this week!!! She is such a sweet heart and I don't know what I would do without her. It was a fun day at home for all of us except Daddy (he had to work). The kids had their second snowday. Miki had mixed emotions about this....kinda happy, but sad she couldn't share her treats. We were mean and made her wait all day to open her presents. As soon as we got home from piano lessons we finally let her open her gifts. She was/is way excited to have her scooter. It is a electric one that she can try and keep up with Jaidon in the back yard. I told Chad that we just need a track back there now:) She is so excited to be in the "double digits" and is already counting down the time left before she can drive!!! I am sooo not ready for that! Miki still LOVES to dance and her Friday nights are spent at the dance studio. She is there from 4:30 till 8:45 pm. When I asked if she liked it or if it was to much she looked at me like I had four eyes :) I guess that means she likes it! She also started piano this fall and is doing great. I am way happy that someone is getting use out of our piano. I am so proud of her and so greatful for all that she does for me. Miki is so thoughtful and is always helping me out. She has turned into quite the little mommy to the twins and some days she is the reason that I don't go completly crazy. Thinking back over the past 10 years and I am amazed at how fast time has gone and want the next 10 to sloooow down. Happy Birthday Princess!!!

Happy Halloween! Well we surrvived! I have always known that I did not want to be a single parent and I still feel this way after the past week or so. We have been running crazy around here. I don't know why I act like this is something new, but this week was a little bit crazy. The big kids did not have school on friday so we finaly went and got our pumpkins. We had been waiting for a time that dad could come with us, but that turned out to be impossible!!! Thank goodness there is a apple orchard right outside our neighborhood that has good pumpkins (over priced, but still good). It was well worth the convience of it! I was able to take them on the way to drop Chase off at preschool. This worked out well, babies stayed in the car and there wasn't enough time to change your mind a thousand times. With Chad off helping some friends put a new roof on I was left to carve the pumpkins, did I mention that Chad was gone....SO in the moments that the babies where content we worked on them. I must say I am rather happy with how they turned out. Saturday was full of excitement as we waited for the Trunk or Treat at the Church. Chad was gone all afternoon with the young men on the boat. They are crazy!!! They had fun and were back on time, I think Chad knew I would have killed him he he wasn't :) We had a great time at the church and then made it home to go trick or treating in our neighborhood. I think the best part was waking up this morning and having the extra hour because of the time change. I really needed it!

So here are some new pictures of the babies. They turned 7 months yesterday! I can't believe how big they are getting. They are so much fun! I am not going to lie, it still is VERY challenging, but what do you do. Breslynn and Daxon have started noticing each other and it is so fun to watch. They will laugh, crawl and play together. Daxon thinks it is fun to lay on top of his sister, most of the time she doesn't care. Daxon is crawling everywhere and Bres is a little slower, but she keeps up! Daxon is also pulling up and cruising along furniture. The bumps and bruises have begun :) Breslynn is my easy going, talkative little girl. She is deffently very vocal and just babbles all day long. She laughs at me every time I try to get her to say "MAMAMAMA". I don't know why she thinks it is sooo funny. I just sit back and think of how lucky I am to have 2 babies learning and growing at the same time. It is so fun to see their little personalities come out. I swear Heavenly Father likes to send me babies with a little extra personality just for fun. No teeth, yet thank goodness but I am sure they are on their way.....fun for me!

DADDY AND JAIDON WERE SUCCESSFUL IN 2009!!!!

So I logged on to update the blog and I found this lovely picture! Chad and Jaidon had a blast. They were able to go out to Southern Utah for 9 days and hunt the whole time. All the Shelley Boys were able to go have their "manly" time :) I was home with the rest of the crew! Chad was lucky that my sister was able to come out for a week. I was sure glad to see her on Tuesday when I picked her up. Chad had left the Thursday before! She helped me a TON! We had alot of fun and we both did more shopping then we had in along time. I was sure glad to have my boys home and listen to Jaidon tell me all his stories. I asked him if he heard a lot of naughty words and his eyes lit-up and said "YES":) At least this year he is old enough to know not to repeat them. He hasn't done anything yet and blamed it on Uncle Choc, but I am sure there is still time for that. I am so glad they were able to go and spend that time with family. Miki and I are starting to plan what we are going to do when ALL the boys go and it is just us girls. I can promise you it will not be somewhere on a cold mountain where we don't get to shower for days!!!

One and Possibly Only Boat Trip of '09

Ok so Chad and I needed to take the boat in to get fixed. Last year we had it out twice and we had trouble both times....I broke the starter the last time trying to start it over and over while Chad pulled us along the shore line. Opps! Well with the Twins and us being afraid that it was going to cost a fortune to fix we put it off all summer. Well we finally decided that we should take it in....What is the point of having a boat if you are not going to use it. So they had it forever, finally they call and let us know that it is done. Ok here come the big question.....How much? Oh that will be $138.00 please. What that is it! Your kidding! We wasted an entire summer on the boat because of 138 dollars! Needless to say we weren't to thrilled, but oh well. We took it out for a few hours and had fun. We were still a little jaded from last year so we were afraid to turn it off, so we cruised! Daxon and Breslynn liked it ok, but next year should be fun :)We were going to go last weekend but it rained and was cold. Chad thinks he will go out one more time with the YM. They are crazy!
Things are going well here. Daxon crawls EVERYWHERE! Breslynn loves playing Peek-a-Boo. Jaidon just finished his first season of machine pitch baseball, and loved it! Miki is taking piano and I can't believe how quick she is learning! Chase is my big preschool boy! He loves it and tells me that I can't come with him :(! He loves being a big kid. He cracks me up so much! I have pictures of him on my cell that I need to download. I always forget my camera! These days I am lucky to make it out the door with all the kids. It takes me forever to load everyone up!

Just thought I would add a new picture of Breslynn and Daxon. They are getting so big! Daxon is almost crawling and Breslynn is not far off, I am not sure that I am ready for this next stage! We are adjusting being back in school....kids are loving it. Life is as crazy as ever and it doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon! Mikinzie tried out for a part in the Ballet Cinderella and is a Blossom :)We are way excited for her. Jaidon is playing Machine pitch baseball and is now a brown belt in Tae Kwon Do. He should be a black belt this time next year :) Chase starts preschool next week, he can't wait.

Summer Time

I have been slacking on my Blogging, but what can you do?! All our visitors have left us so now we just have to make it through the next week till school starts. We had Grandma Shelley visit for about a week and had a blast! We went down to Crown Center and saw a Lego exhibit that was way cool and then we went over to kaleidoscope and let the kids play. It was sure fun to have her all to ourselves! not that we don't like sharing but this has never happened before :) Let's see...then we were able to go to Great Wolf Lodge which is an indoor water park and stay the night. We had so much fun. The twins went swimming for the first time. Breslynn wasn't to sure about it, Daxon splashed all over the place. It was a fun little get away for us. They had a Dance party in the lobby the night we stayed and the kids were dancin' machines. They have got some pretty sweet moves :) Then Grandma and Grandpa Richardson came to hang out. Daxon decided that he needed Grandpas' shoulder to sleep on, Grandpa agreed. It was sure nice to have the extra hands. Mikinzie and grandma spent hours in the craft room sewing and making Miki's first quilt. I don't know who is more excited Grandma or Miki. They sure loved having someone else to play with, and get ice cream almost everyday. Can we say spoiled! I think we are ready for school to start. I am having mixed emotions about them going back. Mikinzie and Jaidon have been such great helpers I think that I will have a hard time without them here. Oh well they are way excited to start back. Oh yeah in the midst of all this Chad and I had our 11th anniversary! Crazy! We sure have made it through a lot! Love ya babe!

San Deigo

Last weekend we got to go to San Diego for my brothers wedding. We had so much fun! It was a very, very busy trip with the wedding and all the other stuff we had to squeeze in. We flew out on Thursday, we actually made it to the airport 1 hour early for our 7:45 flight! It was funny to hear all the comments from the people on the plane at the end of the flight on how well our 5 children did and how they were nervous. My Bro picked us up and off we went! The kids where way excited to see the beach for the first time. We went to a place where there are a bunch of seals. They thought it was awesome-there were squirrels and birds all around also and they were totally entertained. I told Chad that we could have saved some cash and not worried about the Zoo the squirrels were exciting enough :) After a quick change it was off to play in the water real quick before the rehearsal for the wedding. Miki and Jaidon thought it was like a big swimming pool and where giving me heart attacks while I sat up higher with the twins. I have been informed that it only looked like they where far out....I was told to RELAX:) Chase didn't think to much of the ocean but there were Rocks! He was in heaven collecting rocks and digging in the sand. Then it was on to the rehearsal, which we were late too:( sorry Phil, and dinner. On Friday we went to the San Diego Zoo and had a blast. On Saturday I sent everyone off to the beach while I went to get a massage courtesy of one of the sales reps that come into Chad's office-sooooo nice! It was then time for the wedding, which was absolutely beautiful! They had it at a ranch that has peacocks roaming everywhere. We had alot of fun dancing and just hanging out. I do have to say that Chad and my brother in law Peter have some mean dance moves! At this point we are almost exhausted but we still have Sea World to hit on Sunday! Sea World was way fun and my favorite. We played there all day. Monday came and it was time to say good bye to Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Amber, and Uncle Peter which was sad. The kids loved spending time with them. It was a great trip full of memories and maybe by next year I will have recovered and we can take another family vacation.

Well it's that time of year again! Summer Time!!! Miki was in the Talent Show on the last day of school with her friend. She did a great job! I guess 57 kids tried out and they only pick 10 to preform! :) Michelle and Miki sang Silent Night :) She is such a ham too! I almost didn't let her stay after to try out because we found out at the last minute and we had a million things going on that day, sure glad I let her stay. Miki loved being in front of the entire school.

Jaidon is loving that it is time for baseball. He is now playing coaches pitch, which is "way cool" in the words of Jaidon. He is quite the little player too. We have fun loading the troops up and heading to the games.

My sweet Jaidon had graduation on Friday. It was so cute! He was embarrassed singing the songs and kept giving us funny faces. Mrs Coon his teacher sure had some very nice things to say about him too!She teared up saying she was going to have a hard time letting him go. He has done such a great job and we are so proud of him. At the beginning of the school year we made a deal with him that if he got only 5 yellow lights and no red (the behavior system they use) he could get a gun (love dad for that one)Well looks like Dad is making a purchase! He has never got a yellow! We have talked to Mrs Coon about this and she thought we were crazy...."it would just devastate him to get a yellow, he is way to good!" I am glad my stinker is good at school ;)(I guess that is what you hope for- that your kids will behave well when your not around)

We blessed the babies on May 3. We were lucky enough to have alot of family, biological and adopted, here to support us. Chad's Mom and three of his sisters came in on Tuesday before the blessing and kicked the week off. After they got here we had someone flying in every day until Saturday! My brother, Father in law, and brother in law were the only ones who did not make it-that's alot of plane tickets! We had so much fun having everyone here. It was a little crazy but a lot of fun. We just all hung out for the most part, except on Saturday we went swimming at the hotel where Chads mom was staying. Yes I was even brave enough to get into a swimsuit-wasn't too pretty! I would add pics but I think I have added enough :) While we were all swimming Chad and my Dad built our new swing set! I am so excited to have it! It came in handy on Sunday with all the kids. There are 19 kids between me and my friends, plus add 2 more to include my to nephews that were here! I was so glad that my girls all were able to make it, they truly are my Missouri family! It was such a neat day to be surround by loved ones. I know that alot was sacrificed to be here and we really appreciate it!

The first week!

We made it through the first week! Chad posted the last pictures, so let me give you some details. Breslynn was born first 6 lbs 5 oz and very clam and quite. Daxon was born 24 min later 6 lbs 3 oz (alot of baby!) screaming and letting us all know that he had arrived. Things went perfect-except the nurses didn't quite believe me that once my water was broke they better hurry! Breslynn looks alot like my Miki, and Daxon fits right in with his big brothers! It is so fun to have one of each. Breslynn has a ton of hair and Daxon has alot of fuzz:) I am already having fun putting bows in her hair. We are getting more sleep each night which is great. I am sleeping better now then I did the last few months of the pregnancy. Chad has had the week off so Chase has been in heaven helping dad out, and I have had my mom helping me out. I don't know what I will do when she goes home, probably go crazy! Miki and Jaidon are great helpers and haven't wanted to leave the house when they get home from school. I came up stairs after being downstairs for a min and Miki had changed Daxons stinky diaper and was keeping him happy....I didn't know if I should panic or just be grateful that she did it, of course I decided to be grateful but had to remind her that they are only a week old so please let me be around when she does this. Overall things are great they are gaining weight and doing good so we couldn't be happier!

Chase had his 3rd birthday on Tuesday and then on Wednesday he got his tonsils out. He did such a great job! The doctor wanted to keep him over night just to make sure that he would take fluids and his medicine. He did awsome! He slept most of the day of his surgery but was such a happy boy when he was awake. Miki and Jaidon had fun coming up to the hospital to visit him. The last picture is of him the next day. Chad stayed the night with him at the hospital so that I could be more comfortable (ya right!) When I got to the hospital this morning I found a very perked up Chase he was back to being himself. Chad said that the night went great and he didn't even wake up for pain meds! He is one tuff kid! I am so glad that this is all over with and now we just get to try and keep his heart rate down for the next 2 weeks. Let's just say that is going to be the hard part. As soon as we got the all clear from the doc they took off his monitors and the IV out and he was all over the place. I was afraid that he was going to crack his head open climbing on everything. He is such a sweet heart :)

Here are some pictures of the babies! We went and had a 3D Ultra Sound last weekend and it was really neat. Breslynn and Daxon would not cooperate so that we could get a full view of their faces. I was about 33 weeks, which is pretty late to have the 3D work with twins, but it was still worth it! The first picture is of Breslynns backside and feet. That is about all we could really get of her. She is in the perfect position for delivery...lets hope she stays that way! The next two are of the side of Daxons' face with his little hand up by his nose. We were able to see him rub his eyes and play with his ears! If we could of got him to put is arms down we would've been able to see his face, but he was rolled up so tightly in there he really didn't have anywhere for them to go. Breslynn is definitely stretched out more you can see her belly and thigh in the pics of Daxon. The last one is both of their heads right next to each other. It is so amazing to think that there are two of them! We went to the doc yesterday and everything is looking good! I am already measuring 40 weeks, ahhhhh!!! I will be 34 on Saturday, no wonder I feel like crap! My poor stomach is as hard as a rock and I truly wonder if they could break a rib with their kicks! We are praying that I do make it to 38 weeks, because we also found out that Chase needs to get his tonsils and adenoids out and the earliest they can do it is March 11th! We want to get it done before the babies so that I can give him all the attention and love he needs! I swear one of these days I will look back and be able to laugh about all this!

This past Saturday was Jaidon's first Tae Kwon Do tournament. He had alot of fun and did great! It was at his school and it was a little smaller then many of the tournaments that are out there, so it was a great one for him to try first. He took first in his form so he got a t-shirt that says "Champion" on the back, Jaidon thought that was way cool! We are so proud of him. He really does a great job and catches on really fast. We finally got his sparring gear so now he gets to beat his Dad up, way cool! Tonight was his first class and he loved it! He is such a boy! Chase informed me that he wants to be a "Tiny Tiger" and that tomorrow he is going to be a big boy and not wear diapers anymore (we have had a little regression the last little while with the potty thing). So we will have to see what happens in the morning! I will be thrilled if it works, I sooooo do not want to have three in diapers! I think I would have to take a second mortgage out on the house to pay for it!!:)This next video is of Miki and Chase rockin' out at the Holiday party later that night. They had so much fun dancing. Jaidon on the other hand sat on Ms. Harris' lap almost all night and talked with her. Let me give you a little insight on Ms. Harris. She is one of his instructors who is a college student in town and very cute! Hmmmm I wonder why Jaidon hung out with her all night!!! He has a thing for older women :)

Christmas

I am finally posting some Christmas pictures!!! We had a great Christmas and were able to make it out to Southern Utah for a week, we loved seeing everyone! We left at about 1 o'clock on Christmas day and had hopes of driving straight through....yeah right! We stopped in Denver for the night so Chad could get some sleep and I could walk around. I was no help with the driving this time! We stopped every couple of hours so I could walk, I love being pregnant!!! We finally arrived in Cedar City on Friday evening and got to meet our newest Nephew Dawson for the first time!!! He is soooo cute! I am so glad we made it out so that we could see him before he grew up! Then the marathon started! Saturday we drove over to Kanab for our nieces baptism and surprised her, the cousins had no idea we were coming. We are so glad that we were able to be there on her special day! Next it was off to spend some time with my side of the family! We went to my sisters new beautiful home and got to meet my brothers Fiancee. We were a little worried I might be meeting her at the wedding (fingers crossed that we make it!). The only bummer part of the trip was that we only got to see My mom and Dad Saturday evening and Sunday. They had to go home Sunday night after dinner :( We sure wish we could of spent more time with them. It was so nice spending time with everyone and just hanging out! The kids had a blast with their cousins and playing in the snow. They got spoiled rotten as always and it was hard to come home and say good bye to everyone, at least we know that we will be seeing many of them in a few months when the twins arrive!

Twin Update-I am as big as a house, but the babies are doing great! They are about three pounds each! Holy Cow! Everything looks good and we are on the count down-ten weeks to go....or less hopefully! Now we just need to get everything ready for them......

Snow Day

What a week we have had at the Shelley house!!!! It is quite a funny story now that it is all over, but I was worried I wouldn't survive it!!! Let me start from the beginning.....last Thursday Jaidon came home from school early because he was not feeling well. On Friday he still had a horrible cough and was extremely tired. On Friday afternoon Grandpa Shelley and Uncle Matt showed up with the most beautiful Bunk beds for the boys. Uncle JD made them and he did a amazing job...I will post a pic when I get the beds made! So we were all excited to hang out and visit with them. On Saturday Jaidon decided that on top of having a cough that he needed to get a flu bug too! Oh what fun! Jaidon got to spend the day bonding with all the men in the house while Miki and I were off to the church to get ready for the ward Christmas party. Although we had a lot to do it was nice to get out of the house and spend some time with just Miki, she was a great help! Sunday comes and Jaidon is still not doing so hot, so once again Miki and I leave the boys to bond and head to church. Miki feeling like she is missing out on the boy bonding and decides that she wants to get the flu bug like Jaidon while our Bishop was here calling Chad to be the Young Men's President! AHHH!:) Monday comes and the Miki and Jaidon are doing better but not 100% so they stay home from school. Tuesday was when the above pictures where taken....not sick today....School was canceled do to the 4+ inches we received that day. Wednesday comes and we are getting them ready for school and Jaidon is not wanting to go, says his tummy hurts. We get him up and are trying to help him get going.....nope he decided that he wasn't quite over the flu. That was fun to clean up!!! So off Miki goes to school and I take care of Jaidon and Chase. Chase decided that he was sick in the middle of the night! Oh the fun! The day only gets better from here....Chad calls me after he is done with surgery to inform me that he now has the bug too!! I was so excited (sarcasm!!!) Well poor Chad comes home and is complaining that his stomach really hurts and he thinks he might need to go to the doctor. This is where I get the "Wife of the Year" award... I tell him that he is just fine and he should just eat some apple sauce and lay down he just has what the kids have had. Needless to say the applesauce did not help and at about 3 he convinced me to take him to urgent care. I was not to thrilled about it. So I load the sick boys in the car and DROP him off so I can be home when Miki gets home. Soon after she gets home Chad calls and says he needs me to come and take him to get a CT scan. What!!! So I leave Miki and Jaidon at home to go take him, Urgent Care doesn't want him to wait so they take him to the CT place! They are afraid his appendix is going to burst....great wife huh! Well we find out that his appendix is fine but the fatty tissue around the upper side of the appendix is inflamed(or something like that) so they give him a shot of pain meds and an antibiotic to take care of it. Well finally on Thursday everyone is feeling better so off to school with Miki and Jaidon, Chad gets to take a day off work but is feeling much better and I get to finally go out to get things ready for the school class parties. After a morning of shopping we check the messages and WHAT??? Miki and Jaidon are coming home early and school is cancelled on Friday!! Love Ice storms!!! It wasn't to bad, but poor Jaidon will be out of school for almost three weeks after Christmas break! What a week! The funny thing is the above story is the Cliff Notes version!! We are all healthy now.....except for me feeling horribly pregnant already! I can only imagine what the weeks ahead have to offer!

I can't believe my baby girl is 9!!! We had a quite family party after all the normal craziness of our Tuesday nights. Miki had Ballet(which explains the crazy bun hair and jammies) and then we came home and opened presents and had cake. Chad made her happy by making her a "Cow Girl" cake, she is so funny! She is such a sweet girl. It is so fun to watch her grow up. We are so proud of her and she is our sweet heart! I am a little fearful what the next nine years will bring, she has already been told that she not aloud to date or even think about boys :)

Christmas lights

OK I know it is not anything spectacular, but I am so excited to have lights on my house!!!! Thank you so much Chad for scaling the roof and making it work :) I think next year we will look into having someone do it for us.....I value Chad's life more then having lights on the house. My trees on my front porch that I was so excited to have when we moved in actually look OK with lights on them (one is almost dead, but I have to wait till spring to replace it again....I am thinking I should of just bought the fake ones, I can't kill it if it is not alive :)) Chad wanted lights on the peaks but we were short on lights, time, and my nerves where going crazy having him up on the wet roof, not the smartest time to be climbing on a slanted surface!!! He wanted to get them finished tonight because tomorrow it is supposed to snow and the rest of the week it is going to be sooooooooo freezing. Thanks again for keeping your pregnant, hormonal wife happy! I am sure it is not an easy job!!!

Poor Cookie lost his manhood on Friday:( He has to wear the cone thing for 2 weeks!! It is pretty sad because he doesn't realize that his head is wider now. Fudge is loving it because Cookie can't bite his legs with it on. The poor dog can't climb up the stairs so if he makes it down he sits and whines when he wants to come back up.....so sad!

We got the shock of our life on Friday morning. Chad, Chase, and I went in for my routine ultrasound at 20 weeks and found out that we are having TWINS! We are blessed to be having one girl and one boy.....also very surprised! As the ultrasound tec was going to start I told her that we wanted to know the sex of "the baby" if it was possible. She put the monitor on my stomach and then took it off and look at us and said "You DO know there is two!?!? Right?" Chad and I where shocked to say the least! Chad came the closest he has ever come to fainting at that moment, I couldn't stop laughing, crying, and smiling. Thank goodness I was laying down :) Everything looks good so far and they seem to be developing well. My doctor was just as surprised as we where to find out. Apparently I did not have any of the clues that make them suspect twins. I was measuring just fine, hormone levels were not way high, and I haven't had any complications. I have been reading and reading about twins all weekend and have a long journey ahead, but it will be worth it! I am hoping I don't have to go on bed rest and can carry them till 38 weeks. I am feeling a little bit of pressure to get things done because there are so many unanswered questions and we don't know what to expect in the weeks to come. Knowing that I am having twins sure makes me understand why this pregnancy has been much harder then the other three!
The picture above is when we told Miki and Jaidon. We wrapped up a girl and a boy outfit with their sonogram picture and had each open one. Miki and Jaidon both looked really confused. Miki said "You don't know do you!!" We had warned that there was a chance that we might not be able to find out that day. We told them that we did know and Jaidon yells out "It's a BOY!" We told him that he was right and Miki looked at us really confused. We asked her why she was confused and she told us it was because she had a girl outfit and then she yelled "your having TWINS!!!!" It was so fun to see how excited they were and still are. I can't believe I will be a mom of 5! Wow, I never thought I would say that! So keep us in your prayers! Heavenly Father sure has more faith in me then I do!

Well we had a very fun and busy Halloween. I had a million things to do for church....I am on the Activities Committee and we had a activity that night. The kids did not have school so we had a fun day of getting ready! Grandma "Jackson" sent a Halloween package that had a Gingerbread Haunted House that we built. The kids did great and had alot of fun decorating it. Chase was a big help....eating the candy before Miki and Jaidon could get it put on the house. The kids had a blast running around at the church playing games and getting candy. After the ward party we were able to do a little trick or treating around the neighborhood. Chase loved that he got candy. He was in charge of telling us which house was next. He would get his treats and then turn and point and say "this one" Miki and Jaidon were great sports and let him be in charge. I don't think that they cared because they were getting candy. I think that I have ate far more then they have....at least I know I have ate more then Miki! My boys love candy, but my Miki doesn't seem to want to much. She says "no thank you" far more then a kid usually does! She is my little health nut already! We were lucky too this year to have beautiful weather. It was in the 70's, which is soooo not normal for this time of year! It made it very nice to be outside.

Yesterday was Parent teacher Conference's at Miki and Jaidon's school. It was so nice to go and hear their teachers say what wonderful kids they are! While we were their both Miki and Jaidons teachers' informed us that they would be getting that Character award at the assembly that took place today. They were both nominated by their teachers for having outstanding courage.

Mikinzies' teacher said: Courage comes naturally for Mikinzie. She ALWAYS chooses to do the right thing! She does an outstanding job of coaching her classmates when they need assistance or clarification. Our class is very fortunate to have her! Mikinzie, thank you for sharing your encouraging, patient, and loving personality with us everyday!

Jaidons' teacher said:Jaidon Shelley shows courage in and out of the classroom. Jaidon consistently does the right thing even when others choose not to. He is a good role model for other students in the classroom.

I am so proud of them! Way to go guys!!!

Exciting News!!!

Well we are excited that we will be adding a fourth member to our family in April. My due date is April 5th and we are hoping that it comes close to that date....not to much before! I know that if I give it a few months I might say something totally different but we have our reasons. Chase is a March Birthday so we would like this one to be in April so they each have their own month. I know, I know we over think things but you should expect that from us :) We got the kids these cute shirts and hid them under their pillows. When they got home from school we told them that they needed to go and take a nap. This upset Jaidon to the point of tears, which wasn't exactly the reaction we were going for. After a little persuasion we got them all in their rooms and they found them. It didn't take Miki long to catch on to what was going on. She got all excited and ran out to check what Jaidon and Chase's shirts said. We then helped the boys figure it out. It was fun to see how excited they were. Jaidon then told me that "You are getting kinda fat mom!" This made me laugh because at this point I was only 8 weeks. It should be fun to hear him in the upcoming months comment on how "fat" I am! I am feeling much better now....I was totally expecting this pregnancy to be like my last 2, I didn't get sick at all! Let's say I wasn't that lucky this time around! Thankfully I felt yucky at night so the kids were already in bed and I could just relax and whine to Chad how it is not supposed to be like this! Even though I was a little sick I know others who are a lot worse, so I just had to look at the bright side. Hopefully I am almost over it, I am feeling better and better every day. Now we just play the waiting game!

In other exciting news.......Chase has potty trained himself!!! Yippee! On Monday he decided that he was going to go potty all day on the potty and that was it. He has been going off and on for a few months but nothing consistent until Monday. All week he has done great with no accidents! I was even brave to venture out with him on all our crazy errands that we have to do. He did realize that it is great during sacrament meeting today....4 times and went every time:) I was a little nervous about potty training another boy, but he did it himself!! I was prepared to have two in diapers yuck!

Happy Birthday Jaidon! I can't believe he is 6! He was so excited for this big day. He says he had a great day....he got to go to Taekwondo twice so he was happy. Dad did a great job on the cake, it is pretty sad when your husband is more creative than you are! We are topping the birthday celebration off tonight with a camping trip where he gets to use his new tent and sleeping bag.

My big thrid grader!!! I can't believe that she is sooo grown up!
I can't believe that it is time to go back to school! My Jaidon is a BIG kindergartner and he was so excited for school to start. I had to wake them up at 6:30 this morning and he was happy....I don't think that he has ever woke up that early and been happy, he loves his sleep way to much. They were both very excited to see that some of their new friends from summer school were in their classes! I was also very happy for them. I think I worry more about them making friends then they do. I guess that is what Moms' are for. Mikinzie is preparing herself for HOMEWORK! At her old school she really didn't have any, but at this school she will most likely have some every night, we think that Jaidon will have some too! I controlled my self and did not make Miki have her picture taken in front of her classroom ( I wasn't fast enough to catch her before she went in the classroom, it would have been totally uncool to come back outside for a picture!) Back to bedtimes and reality! We had such a fun summer with all the company that we had bedtimes didn't really happen. Grandmas, Grandpa, Aunts, and Uncles don't think that they need bedtimes. Oh well we were just so glad that they all came and visited!
Chase and I, I can't believe I just have one at home all day, are looking forward to lots of one on one time. He is such a mamas boy I think he will enjoy it, I know I am going too.

Twinkle Toes!!

I am finally getting pictures of Mikinzie's recital on!! We had so much fun and she did a great job. The recital marked the end to the weekly drives back to Lees Summit on Tuesdays. I was and still am sad because that means I don't get to wander around Target for 45 min with my girl friends while Miki goes to class. On a brighter note our gas tank is thanking us!! As tradition Grandma and Grandpa Richardson came out from Utah for the exciting weekend! We had alot of fun with them here! I went into shock after they left because summer school was out, no Grandma and Grandpa to play with, and no pool loaded with friends to entertain Miki and Jaidon. We are hanging in there though! :) The pics of Miki and Chase in the cage were actually lockers just outside her dressing room. We were there waaaaaay to looong!!! It worked great to keep Chase happy!

Boat Fun

Sorry about the multiple post but when I don't post for a month I have alot to share!! This was our first trip out on the boat of the season. Doesn't Chad looked thrilled that I am taking his picture!:) Our trip got cut short because something was going crazy with the fuel pump or something like that. We had fun for the little time we were out and can't wait to get back out there! We now go to a lake that is about a 40 min drive(which is killing me)instead of drive way to lake 15 min. The lake is beautiful and it is huge. I am not as scared driving on it.

Summer School!!!

Summer school is the best! At our new school Miki and Jaidon get to go to school for 24 days and get paid for being there! Jaidon was so excited that he finally got to go to school. He is doing great and loves learning and being entertained by some one other then mom...I am not as fun, apparently cleaning is not something he finds entertaining. That boy has been waiting to go to school for over a year now! They get to do tons and tons of fun activities all day long. It is definatley quieter around the house with just Chase and I, but I think we will adjust.

On Tuesdays since April we have been making the drive back down to Lees Summit so that Mikinzie can finish up dance. On this week we meet up with some friends and played at the park for oh about four hours before dance. The kids sure had fun. I am sure going to miss those park days!!!! FYI there are just three families in the picture!!! Do you think we have enough kids!!!:)

T-Ball

Jaidon is now playing t-ball and loving it! He has had two games now and he can't wait for the next one. His team is the Astros, he wanted to be the Royals but oh well! His games are soooo much fun to watch, kids are so darn funny! He has done a great job playing first base, pitcher, and third base. I have a feeling that we will be spending alot of time at the ball field in the coming years. :)

Here is my favorite part of our new home!! I love having a piano! Chad went to the music store and bought me some books so I could begin learning a little. I have now moved on from only knowing how to play Peter Piper to some other fun songs! I was so excited to have it here that after the piano movers left a few tears came out. I now subject the family to mini recitals to show off the songs that I am learning. Jaidon is having fun learning a little too!

Living in St. Joe

We are offically living in St Joe. We were able to close on the new house with no issues on April 5th. Thank goodness to because we loaded the moving truck up and Chad's brother and the kids hung out at the new house while we signed the papers! I am enjoying being up here more and more each day. We really loved Lees Summit so it was hard to leave it. The kids have had to make the most adjustments,but I think they have adjusted well. I told Chad that it is much easier to move when they are 2 and all they need is their toys to be happy. Miki had the hardest time leaving all her friends at school but she has quickly made new ones. She is one of 16 students in her class at school...yes it is a much smaller school! I think church was the biggest adjustment for her, she is the only Valiant 9 in the ward so she is in with the Valiant 10...only three of them! She was so used to having so many that were around her age and all such sweet friends. Good thing we are still close! Jaidon is looking forward to summer school. In June he will get to go to summer school and have a blast. It is a great program where they get to play -even learn- for a month in the summer. He is so excited to start school. So that means mom will be home all day with just Chase!! I am sure I will be busy! I think that Chad is enjoying it the most being closer to work. We are deffintly seeing alot more of him, which we love! Jaidon has loved having alot more time helping Dad out.
I will add some pictures when I get my camera back! Chad stole and took it with him to Utah for his sisters wedding! Chad, Miki, and Jaidon are having a blast with family while I still try to get this house put together :) I have played a little too!

THE NEW HOUSE IN ST. JOE

This is the new home we found in St. Joseph, MO. It has been a stressful process since we had come to an offer agreement on another house and as we were signing the papers they accepted another offer and we were out of luck. We are happy in the end with finding this home, but the process can be a killer on the nerves. We will hopefully be in by the first week in April since the buyers of our house have no respect for school ending in a a few weeks later. Miki will survive, but it is hard to leave friends right before school gets out.

I can't believe Chase is two! We had a fun little family party yesterday and had a lot of fun. Chase was so funny. It was funny anytime anyone would say Happy Birthday he would say "to you." I think one of his favorite things was blowing out the candles! He loved it, I had to light the candles 3 or 4 times so that he could do it over and over. Grandma gave him a shirt that says "Warning I make messes" I think that they made this for my Chase! He is definatly and active little boy. We almost have him saying "2" instead of "3" when you ask him how old he is. He says 2 about half the time now....making progress. I am sure he will be three before we know it. It is amazing how these little people just melt your heart.

It has finally happened, we sold our house!!! It has been a very crazy and surreal week. Chad is so excited that come April 5th when he drives to work it won't take an hour and fifteen minutes. We are excited that we will now get to spend a lot more time together as a family! We don't know where we are going to live yet, but we should be able to figure that out this week. We have been waiting for this day for a year now and it sure feels good! Thanks to all of you for your many prayers.

OK today Chase decided to start out the morning by having a little fun! As Jaidon was heading out the door to preschool Chase decided to dump out the entire box of potato flakes. This was really fun and slippery, next it was time to hide in Cookies kennel, maybe I should've let him stay in it, and then on to Miki's room. We have to keep her door closed because he loves to do this, but today her door was open. This all happened before 9:30!!! He keeps me on my toes!

Cookie

We have a new member of our family, Cookie. He is so cute! Chad finally gave in and got me a little dog for Valentines Day. We are having so much fun with him. Cookie is a Maltese shitsu mix. Chase starts asking where Cookie is as soon as we pull into the driveway, poor Cookie gets packed around a lot. He is a big baby and loves to be held and cuddled-Chad has been caught loving on Cookie too! We decided to name him cookie because we thought he looks like cookie dough ice cream. We now have Fudge and Cookie's at our house all the time. Fudge didn't know quite what to think of him and for the first few days was actually afraid of him!!! We tried to explain to him that he has about a 100 pounds on Cookie. It is funny to watch a big horse of a dog like Fudge jump and run from Cookie. Fudge is getting a little bit better with him when they are outside. I think Fudges' biggest problem is that Cookie gets to be inside all day and he has to be outside. Cookie doesn't move furniture when he makes a corner like fudge does!

Jaidon started taking karate in January and is loving it! Last week he had his first belt promotion. He is really doing great! Mom and Dad love it to because he has a "Black Belt Attitude" sheet where we get to rank him on his attitude throughout the week. It has worked great, for some reason Jaidon is more afraid of his karate teacher then me!!(Oh well, I will take all the help I can get!) Jaidon is starting to be quite the busy boy. He has karate twice a week, preschool four days, gymnastics on Thursdays, and it's spring soccer time!(Still have not figured out why in February it is time for spring soccer...oh well). Mom is thinking this is a little much, but Jaidon loves it. We will see how he feels once his soccer team actually gets to start practicing; it has been way to cold!

Ahhh...The Bahamas!

Chad and I were lucky enough to go to the the Bahamas last weekend. It was amazing!!! We stayed at the Atlantis on Paradise Island. It was so much fun. All I have to say is that it was 80 degrees the entire time, much better then the teens we left and came back to in MO. While Chad was at his conference I could be found sitting by one of the many pools they had. I loved it! We got to relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches when he was done. Chad saw the people out parasailing and wanted to go....I said I would go along for the boat ride. As you can tell from the picture I didn't just ride the boat. Once we got out there they convinced me to go up with Chad. I am so glad that I did it was amazing. I couldn't believe how peaceful and quiet it was up there. We were able to see across the entire Island of New Providence, it was so cool! We also went into town and went to what is called the "Straw Market" it is crazy in there! The have rows and rows of souveniers and purses..."Coach", "Prada", "Gucci" It was so fun to bargain with them. If you found something that you liked you would just have to find someone that would take the price you were willing to pay, I was able to get some great deals!! I love bargain shopping! Chad biggest disappointment of the whole trip was that there was no Dr Pepper on the entire Island!! He was relieved when we went to town and could find Mt Dew. The resort was so amazing huge aquariums all over the place with sharks, manta rays, and tons of fish! Ok now that I have rambled on I will stop, but I could go on forever about how fun it was. I would suggest going to anyone...wait till you have made your millions if you take kids, the food is very pricey!!

We had so much fun being in Utah for Mikinzie's 8th birthday. I can't believe she is already eight! It was so good to spend time with everyone and share Miki's special day with her newest cousin Carsen. Who by the way is sooooo cute! Things are back to normal here and I think that we have finally recovered from the trip (being stuck in Vegas made recovering take a little longer!).

Some of our good friends told me about this and said that we should do it. I know I should not give in to peer pressure, but hey it wasn't a bad thing. I am sure that this will become a new obsession for me especially since I can show my kids off! Which is alot better then my other blog obsession...the local weather blog.
